A 59-year-old businessman from Gauteng went missing on Monday night after being swept away while attempting to cross a low-lying bridge over the crocodile-infested Komati River in Mpumalanga.
His vehicle was retrieved from the river on Tuesday. Police divers then shot and killed a crocodile from a helicopter, discovering partial human remains inside it, which are believed to belong to the missing man, according to the South African Police Service (SAPS).
