People of Note expands cast with voice actors

Annapurna Interactive has announced new additions to the voice and music cast for its upcoming musical turn-based RPG, People of Note. Actors including Joe Zieja, Erika Ishii, and Debra Wilson join the project, which integrates singing into gameplay. The game is set for release later this year on Xbox platforms.

Annapurna Interactive's People of Note, a musical turn-based RPG, has bolstered its ensemble with several notable performers ahead of its launch. The title follows Cadence, a pop diva seeking stardom by forming a band, where battles unfold as rhythmic musical performances tied to genres and combat mechanics.

Among the new cast members, Erika Ishii lends her voice to Synthia, an EDM enthusiast in the band, paired with singer Amanda Angeles to blend acting and vocals seamlessly. Ishii, recognized for roles in Halo: Infinite and Deathloop, brings experience from orchestral music backgrounds. Joe Zieja portrays Sharp, a pompous music manager and politician, handling both dialogue and singing duties. Known for voicing Bruce Banner in Marvel Rivals and Wriothesley in Genshin Impact, Zieja described the role as "a new challenge," requiring theatrical flair and vocal versatility to embody Sharp's exaggerated traits.

Heather Gonzalez provides Cadence's speaking voice, while Lexxe covers her singing parts, enhancing the narrative's music-driven sequences. Jason Charles Miller voices and performs as Fret, the old-school rocker Cadence recruits in the newly revealed track "Mashup," and he also composed much of the soundtrack. Debra Wilson voices Martell, a precise leader in the Homestead forces, underscoring the game's emphasis on music as a core element of both story and strategy.

This approach differs from conventional RPGs by embedding performances directly into gameplay, building on earlier releases like "Under the Lights." People of Note will launch later this year for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud, with Xbox Play Anywhere support, and is available to wishlist on the Microsoft Store.
