The Public Procurement Regulatory Authority has issued a reminder to all procuring entities to remit the Capacity Building Levy before the end of the financial year.
The notice was issued on June 26, 2026, stressing that institutions failing to remit the levy face a five per cent penalty every month on the outstanding amount. The penalties will continue to accrue until the full balance is cleared.
The authority issued the reminder as the financial year approaches its conclusion on June 30. It affects ministries, state corporations, county governments and other public institutions involved in procurement.
PPRA has intensified efforts in recent years to strengthen accountability in public procurement as part of broader reforms.
