Delhi Police have linked a monetary dispute and revenge to a fire in southeast Delhi's Tughlakabad Extension on the night of June 12 and 13 that killed three people.
According to police, a 17-year-old girl and a 27-year-old woman had scouted the house hours before the incident. The woman had lent Rs 50,000 to Rakesh, which had grown to Rs 80,000 with interest.
The woman asked the minor to set Rakesh's electric scooter on fire at night. The blaze started on the ground floor and spread to two more floors.
Pankaj (28), his sister Soni (20), and their grandmother Sushila Devi (70) died in the incident. Eight other injured residents were taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre and Safdarjung Hospital.
