Rosen appoints Rafael Zamora as new general manager

Chilean company Rosen announced the appointment of Rafael Zamora Sanhueza as its new general manager, a position he officially assumed on May 1. Zamora, a former Telefónica Chile executive for over three decades, replaces Agustín Alfonso Herranz after 13 years in the role. The change comes more than a month after the death of founder José Rosenberg Villarroel.

Rosen, with annual sales exceeding US$ 250 million, announced on Monday the appointment of Rafael Zamora Sanhueza as general manager. The executive, a civil industrial engineer and master's holder in engineering sciences from the University of Chile, led finance, strategy, and commercial areas at Telefónica Chile.

"My leadership experience includes a solid executive track record as Director of Finance and Management Control (CFO) and Director of Strategy and Regulation, among others," Zamora states on his LinkedIn profile. In his new role, he will lead a new stage focused on growth, innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency, per the company's statement.

The board also addressed the departure of outgoing general manager Agustín Alfonso Herranz, who led the firm for over 13 years. Rosen "thanks and recognizes the valuable management and trajectory" of Herranz, noting his contributions to the company's growth and strengthening during that period.

The announcement follows the death of José Rosenberg Villarroel, a prominent businessman from the La Araucanía Region. Cristián de Giorgis Rosenberg, his eldest grandson and the only family member in administration, emerges as the continuer of the family management.
