New UCO reports dated June 15, 2026, detail Santos Cerdán's notes on the prosecution service and an email authorizing Leire Díez's trips.
The Guardia Civil’s Central Operative Unit found a black notebook belonging to Santos Cerdán at the PSOE headquarters. In it the former organization secretary expressed discomfort with Attorney General Álvaro García Ortiz for “not exercising” authority over the November 2024 release of Víctor de Aldama.
Cerdán questioned whether anti-corruption chief Alejandro Luzón “disobeyed or did not inform” the Attorney General. A witness told the UCO that the alleged network sought to remove Luzón over that decision.
A second report includes an April 25, 2024 email in which a PSOE employee states that payment for a Leire Díez flight was a “direct order” from Cerdán. Investigators also located a Díez document in Cerdán’s possession referencing ongoing judicial cases.
