Model Ayu Aulia clarified that her claims of being impregnated by an official with the initial R were merely hallucinations stemming from her health condition. She revealed her battle with tumors since 2017 that led to a hysterectomy.
In a press conference in Jakarta on Friday, Ayu Aulia explained that her controversial statements emerged while she was under the influence of anesthesia following surgery. She said she had undergone several tumor operations since 2017, with the condition worsening in 2020 when tumors attacked her uterine tract.
Ayu stated that doctors warned of cancer risks if she did not become pregnant, but she chose a hysterectomy because she did not yet have a husband. "So I thought, who would I get pregnant with, I don't even have a husband yet," she said.
She also apologized to those whose names were dragged in, including Ridwan Kamil and Roby Kurniawan. Her lawyer, Herdiyan Saksono, confirmed that his client now wants to focus on treatment. Ayu added that her joke about it being "cool to be pregnant by a regent" was merely an emotional outburst.
