Bakari joins gorilla troop at Animal Kingdom

A new male western lowland gorilla named Bakari has joined the family troop at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The addition marks a new chapter for the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail.

Bakari is the latest member of the troop at the Orlando theme park.

DisneyParks announced the arrival in a post on June 30.

Bluey’s Wild World opened early with a soft opening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 25. The experience, part of the Cool Kids’ Summer event, features Bluey and Bingo along with Australian animals. It is scheduled to open officially on May 26 with a Virtual Queue system.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has named its newest Maasai giraffe calf Ivy. The calf was born in April and will make her public debut on the Kilimanjaro Safaris savanna this summer.

Bluey's Wild World is scheduled to open at Disney's Animal Kingdom on May 26 with access limited to a virtual queue system. The new experience will require guests to join through the My Disney Experience app at specific times. Officials have not indicated how long the queue requirement will remain in effect.
