Barbie Jamili joins Creamline as eighth pick in PVL draft

Barbie Jamili was selected eighth overall by the Creamline Cool Smashers in the 2026 PVL Rookie Draft on June 3. The 23-year-old had limited collegiate playing time but impressed at the draft combine.

Barbie Jamili had seen limited action in the UAAP while at Adamson University. She played behind Shaina Nitura and Frances Mordi and appeared mostly in low-stakes situations. Jamili prepared by training for nearly two months after UAAP Season 88. She topped the draft combine in several drills, including the Pro Agility 5-10-5 at 5.109 seconds. “I am so happy but with mixed emotions,” Jamili said after the selection. “I did not expect to be picked in this draft.” Only 11 of 38 applicants were chosen in the June 3 draft. Jamili will join a Creamline roster that includes Alyssa Valdez and Jema Galanza under coach Sherwin Meneses.
