Brynäs coach Gällstedt reflects on preseason training

Brynäs head coach Niklas Gällstedt says the team has prepared better this spring than last year. He is turning attention to the coming SHL season after the club finished its preseason work.

Gällstedt told Gefle Dagblad that last year's short preseason after the SM final hurt the team. He believes the longer preparation period now gives Brynäs a stronger start.

"We have trained well during the spring. Last year we had not trained enough," Gällstedt said. He added that the team wants to play with high intensity and control the tempo in matches.

Reports in Expressen and Gefle Dagblad indicate Gällstedt may leave Brynäs after the next season. His contract runs until 2028, though the final year is an option only the club can end.

Gällstedt has chosen not to discuss his future and is instead focused on the upcoming campaign.
