Cali's city hall announced extended hours for bars and nightclubs until 4:00 a.m. from December 19, 2025, to January 12, 2026. The measure aims to boost the nighttime economy during the December season and the Cali Fair. It addresses demands from sector entrepreneurs for safer and more orderly operations.
Cali's mayor, Alejandro Eder, signed a district resolution allowing bars and nightclubs to operate until 4:00 a.m. during the festive period. This initiative is part of a strategy to strengthen tourism, gastronomy, and entertainment in the city, which sees a large influx of visitors during these dates.
The measure addresses concerns from nightlife entrepreneurs over previous early closures in operations. According to Eder: “For this December season, we have already made the decision, the resolution has been signed to extend the party hours. We will have extended hours from December 19 to January 12, until 4 in the morning for bars and nightclubs, and other establishments can stay open until 1 in the morning”.
The schedule applies only to venues focused on nighttime entertainment; other businesses must close at 1:00 a.m. Authorities will conduct control operations to verify compliance with safety, sanitary, and coexistence norms. This will enable better distribution of people at night and improve surveillance in crowded areas, promoting safe leisure alternatives.
