Christopher Ward updates C63 Sealander collection

Christopher Ward has revamped its popular C63 Sealander collection with slimmer cases, new dials, upgraded movements, and toolless bracelets. The lineup includes Automatic models in 36mm and 39mm sizes and GMT versions in 36mm, 39mm, and 42mm. Prices start at €1,125 for leather strap models.

Christopher Ward, an English watch brand known for affordable mechanical timepieces, has introduced updates to its bestselling C63 Sealander line. The refreshed collection features a new Light-catcher case design that is slimmer and more refined, with intricate brushing and polishing. Crown designs vary: Automatics have a conical crown without guards, while GMTs retain crown guards for a sportier look. New lacquered dials include faceted indexes, applied date frames, matching date discs, and modernized fonts and hands. Dial colors range from black and white to light blue, pink, and pistachio green, depending on the model and size. Stainless steel bracelets now incorporate the iLink system, allowing tool-free link removal via a button mechanism. A slimmer clasp with micro-adjustment enhances wearability. Strap options include black rubber and Camel Vintage Oak leather. For the Automatic models, Christopher Ward is the first to use the Sellita SW200-2 Power+ caliber. This movement beats at 28,800 vph with 26 jewels and delivers a 65-hour power reserve, up from 38 hours, plus improved accuracy of -5/+12 seconds per day. The GMT models continue with the Sellita SW330-2, offering 56 hours of power reserve and a bolder painted GMT hand. Prices remain competitive: Automatics on Bader bracelets cost €1,335 and €1,390 on Consort bracelets; GMTs are €1,560 and €1,615 respectively. Rubber strap versions start at €1,255 for Automatics and €1,480 for GMTs, with leather at €1,125 and €1,350. Hands-on impressions highlight the watches' comfort, solid build, and value, positioning them as strong contenders in the affordable luxury segment.
