Class 5 and 6 Gontor santri equipped with cyber law and social media insights

Santri from classes 5 and 6 at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Campus 5 Darul Qiyam in Magelang held an interactive discussion on 7 June 2026 to equip them with legal understanding and public communication skills.

The event titled Santri Berkarakter dan Berwawasan Luas featured two alumni as speakers. Ustadz Muhammad Shobirin from the 2001 cohort who works as a national lawyer stressed the importance of legal literacy in Islamic education institutions. 'Santri and education institution managers need to fully understand the laws that govern pesantren,' Shobirin said. Ustadz Hafyz Marshal from the 2008 cohort highlighted the need to use social media wisely and ethically as a means of positive dakwah. Wakil Pengasuh PMDG Darul Qiyam Ustadz Imam Haryadi expressed appreciation and stated that legal and media provisions will help alumni bring benefits to the community.
