Dave Mustaine publicly criticized a journalist during a Megadeth concert in Helsinki, Finland. The incident occurred on June 26 after the reporter asked a question about James Hetfield backstage.
Mustaine addressed the audience midway through the set following a performance of the 1993 track Angry Again. He described the journalist from a major local newspaper as a fucking dickhead for asking who would win in a fight between Mustaine and Metallica frontman James Hetfield.
The singer dedicated the next song to the reporter but noted the band lacked a track titled I'm an Asshole. They performed the new song Let There Be Shred instead.
Later in the show Megadeth played their cover of Metallica's Ride the Lightning, a track on which Mustaine originally contributed as a songwriter before his departure from the band in 1983.
