Davido reflects on 15 years in music and upcoming album

Davido marked 15 years in music during a recent interview while sharing details on his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ.

In the interview, Davido said the milestone feels like exactly 15 years. He described the new album as the result of constant creation, with recording done over two years during his last tour.

Two songs on ORIADÉ were originally cut from his previous project. Davido noted that he sometimes sits on tracks too long and grows tired of them.

The artist explained that the album title, theme and sound will be predominantly African. He added that touring across Africa again renewed his wish to honor the culture that launched his career.

Davido called the project deeply personal and said fans can expect it to be crazy.
