Singer Denada strongly denies child neglect allegations from a lawsuit filed by her son, Ressa Rizky Rossano, at the Banyuwangi District Court. Through her lawyer Iqbal, Denada affirms that Ressa has always been recognized as her biological child and his needs are fully met, including a lifestyle considered luxurious in Banyuwangi.
The child neglect lawsuit filed by Ressa Rizky Rossano against his biological mother, singer Denada, continues to draw public attention in Banyuwangi. In a virtual interview on January 29, 2026, Denada's lawyer Iqbal denied the allegations and affirmed that Denada has never denied Ressa's status as her child.
"Acknowledged. Ms. Denada has never not recognized Ressa as her child," Iqbal said.
Iqbal explained that Denada's recent silence stems from emotional shock due to the lawsuit. "We're calm, cooling down basically. So we can think and introspect ourselves too," he stated.
According to Iqbal, all of Ressa's needs have been met by Denada and the extended family, from education to supporting facilities. Ressa is even said to lead a hedonistic lifestyle by Banyuwangi standards, including being given a personal car by Denada. "Ressa is financed, facilitated with everything, given a car," Iqbal emphasized.
Regarding Ressa's job as a driver earning Rp2.5 million, Iqbal described it as part of upbringing to build character and avoid spoiling him. This refers to the approach of the late Bu Emilia Contessa. "A salary of two and a half (million) in Banyuwangi is big... So when parents give education like that to the child, what's wrong? So he doesn't get spoiled just asking for money from parents, right? It's not nice," he said.
Iqbal also noted that communication between the parties is ongoing, making the lawsuit surprising. The case highlights family dynamics under showbiz media scrutiny.
