EarthRating.ai develops quick credibility score for sustainability claims

A London-based startup has introduced an AI-powered tool that generates a sustainability credibility score in minutes rather than weeks. EarthRating.ai aims to help small and medium-sized businesses verify their environmental and social claims using public data sources.

Martin Johnston, founder of EarthRating.ai, described the platform as a universal credibility score for sustainability during a recent podcast interview. The service draws on roughly 100 public data points from audited annual reports, regulatory filings, press coverage, and marketing materials to produce a score out of 1,000 points. It checks for consistency between what companies say and what their verified records show, rather than measuring actual environmental impact.
