The Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on Monday gave his blessings to All Progressives Congress candidates in Kwara State, citing the performance of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The Emir spoke during a visit to his palace in Ilorin by thousands of APC leaders and candidates. He praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for transformative programmes and prayed for the party's success in the 2027 polls.
"The Governor has performed well," the Emir said. "Starting from Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to other candidates of the party, God will grant you all electoral success."
Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and APC gubernatorial candidate Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi said the party is working to reconcile stakeholders. He expressed confidence that APC will win all seats in the state.
State APC Chairman Prince Sunday Fagbemi presented the candidates, noting that primaries followed party guidelines. The delegation included senatorial, House of Representatives and state assembly candidates.
