Police were alerted at 5:28 p.m. to the fire service premises in Växjö after a man in his 30s fell from a height of over three meters from a turntable ladder during a training exercise. He was taken to hospital but could not be saved. His relatives have been notified.

Police spokesperson Patric Fors confirmed that several colleagues were present and are devastated. "At present, it is unclear exactly what happened. We will interview witnesses and conduct a technical examination," he said. There is no suspicion of crime.
