Former Rajya Sabha member H. Hanumanthappa passes away

Former Rajya Sabha member H. Hanumanthappa passed away on Sunday due to age-related illness at the age of 94.

H. Hanumanthappa served three terms in the Rajya Sabha. He also held the position of former chairman of the Central Silk Board.

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar issued a condolence message. He described Hanumanthappa as a senior Congress leader and former MP from Chitradurga.

The message also noted his role as a leader of the Scheduled Castes. Shivakumar expressed sadness over the passing.
