Gallet watch brand relaunches under Breitling ownership

Gallet, founded in 1826, has returned with a new website and creative direction focused on adventure and wanderlust. The brand, acquired by House of Brands in 2025, will release its first watches made with Breitling support on September 3. Weekly dispatches from explorers begin July 22.

The revived Gallet positions itself as an accessible luxury option within the House of Brands portfolio, which also includes Breitling and Universal Genève. Its new identity, called “The Great Escape — Wanderlust Since 1826,” includes a brand film and stories drawn from the company’s archives. Gallet plans to feature its watches in dedicated spaces inside Breitling boutiques worldwide. Prices for the initial collection start at €3.200. The watches will draw on the brand’s history in aviation, motorsport, and exploration. Dispatch contributors include photographer Donal Boyd, who will report from Kenya on elephant conservation, along with others documenting travels in the Himalayas, Antarctica, and California. The effort aims to connect the brand with modern adventurers rather than focus solely on vintage designs.
