Government extends Asmet Salud EPS intervention by one month

The Health Ministry extended the forced administrative intervention of Asmet Salud EPS until June 11, 2026. The measure maintains oversight of the entity amid ongoing financial, legal and operational issues dating to 2023.

Executive Resolution 149 of 2026, signed by Minister Guillermo Alfonso Jaramillo, authorized the one-month extension of asset and business possession for the EPS. The step prevents potential liquidation of the entity for now.

The National Health Superintendency may lift the intervention before expiration if deemed appropriate. Asmet Salud must continue reporting data to the Special Measures Management and Control System Fénix.

The resolution, effective upon issuance, was notified to temporary substitute interventor Jessica Milena Aguirre and to territorial entities where the EPS operates.
