Grimes discusses forthcoming album Psy Opera

Grimes revealed details about her nearly finished album Psy Opera in a recent Interview Magazine conversation with science-fiction author Nnedi Okorafor. The project includes tracks such as “The Light Ages” and “Eve Is Online.” She also shared updates on a documentary and her experiences with AI.

In the Interview Magazine feature, Grimes described Psy Opera as close to completion. She mentioned quitting music a couple of years ago but finding renewed inspiration after writing a rap for a K-pop artist. “I was like, ‘This is too good. I’m keeping this because it’s crazy,’” she said. However, she noted challenges, adding, “But then we had a problem for eight months where I was just a white rapper.”
