Chilean defender Guillermo Maripán joined Internacional de Porto Alegre as a free agent after leaving Torino. He signed a contract until the end of 2028.
The Brazilian club announced the arrival of the 32-year-old defender through its official channels. Maripán ends nine seasons in European football, where he played for Alavés, Monaco and Torino.
Sports director Fabinho Soldano highlighted the Chilean’s leadership profile. “A leader profile, he has already played several years in top leagues”, he noted.
Club legend Elías Figueroa sent a welcome message. “I am certain that he will meet the fans’ expectations”, said the former defender.
