Hailey Bieber revealed a new chest-length blonde hairstyle on Instagram Stories and TikTok on April 3, marking a shift from her long-time bob. The change comes as preparation for the Coachella 2026 festival, where her husband Justin Bieber is set to headline. Her hairstylist described the look as featuring long wispy layers inspired by the early 2000s.
Bieber posted selfies showcasing the transformation, including one taken in her car where she wore a trucker cap with her husband's merchandise. The hair features face-framing graduating front layers and lighter blonde shades woven through the face and ends for dimension. In another image, she displayed glossy lips from her Rhode brand alongside the layered cut. Justine Marjan, Bieber's hairstylist, confirmed the style involved extensions and said, “We did long wispy layers and face-framing for a fresh, almost early 2000s-inspired haircut with lots of movement.” Marjan had previously cut Bieber's bob around Christmas and works with clients like Jennifer Lopez and Khloé Kardashian. The color work came from Los Angeles colorist Matt Rez, who used his midlight technique to blend highlights with the natural base without harming hair health. Bieber had stuck to bob and lob variations in recent years, including a '90s style and a voluminous lob reminiscent of Rachel Green from Friends, paired with teddy bear brunette tones and caramel lowlights. This marks her longest and lightest hair in years. The timing aligns with Coachella 2026 in the Coachella Valley, where Justin Bieber headlines and Rhode plans a major presence.
