The annual Chili and Soup Cookoff in Downtown Indiana drew a crowd of nearly 100 people to The Coney on Saturday. Organized with professional chef, home chef, and student chef divisions, the competition showcased five chili entries, six soups, and several cornbread submissions. Although two students had signed up for the student division, they were unable to participate, leaving no entries in that category.

Brandon Good, a home chef from Indiana Borough, dominated the event by securing the best chili and best soup awards in the home chef division. He also took home the best overall honor for the entire contest. The event added entertainment with a live standup comedy routine by Russ Leape and a live acoustic set from Indiana musician Tom Angelo.
