Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, held a meeting to review progress on works at the site designated as an alternative for the Samla and Alam Al-Roum areas, while also assessing the status of compensation procedures for affected residents.
During the meeting, officials provided a detailed overview of the compensation framework for residents of Samla and Alam Al-Roum, highlighting mechanisms designed to protect citizens' rights and ensure fair, timely entitlements.
The review also addressed developments at the alternative site within a forested area, including updates on completed steps to prepare the location and enable a smooth, orderly transition that balances public interest with residents' needs.
At the meeting's conclusion, El-Sherbiny emphasized the need to accelerate inventory and compensation procedures to boost handover rates and sustain the momentum of ongoing development projects. He stressed close monitoring and thorough review of all related files and initiatives to achieve swift implementation and integrated urban development in line with the ministry's strategic vision.
The minister directed that the master plan for the alternative Bedouin community incorporate all essential services, such as educational, healthcare, and commercial facilities, to fully address residents' requirements. He further underscored the importance of strict adherence to approved project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
