J.L-A.L x PUMA Cell Geo 1 pack shoes set for March 21 release

J.L-A.L and PUMA have announced the Cell Geo 1 Pack, featuring two patent leather colorways that evolve with wear. The shoes, named “Umbré” and “Midnight,” will become available on March 21 through PUMA and HBX outlets. Their design includes a fading upper layer that reveals a gradient surface over time.

The J.L-A.L x PUMA Cell Geo 1 Pack reinterprets PUMA’s performance-driven Cell Geo 1 silhouette with utilitarian and futuristic elements. It comprises two colorways made from patent leather: “Umbré,” described as a sophisticated brown, and “Midnight,” a deep blue-black shade. Corresponding SKUs are 408755-01 and 406426-01, with the MSRP yet to be confirmed (TBC). Scheduled for release on March 21, the pack will be available at PUMA and HBX. A key feature is the “evolvable” patent upper, where the top layer fades and develops a patina through wear, exposing a hidden gradient surface underneath. This process creates a unique appearance for each pair, reflecting movement and material response. The announcement was shared via a post by @j.l_a.l. Published on March 19, the details highlight the pack’s innovative aging mechanism alongside its sleek design.
