Kevin Owens comments on Tristan Angels' NXT character

Kevin Owens has offered his take on NXT wrestler Tristan Angels' character in a clip from WWE LFG. The veteran compared the gimmick to Triple H's Hunter Hearst Helmsley persona from over two decades ago.

Kevin Owens shared his thoughts ahead of the June 14 episode of WWE LFG.

"I really like Nathan’s act. It’s basically ripped off Hunter Hearst Helmsley completely, but that’s fine," Owens said in the clip. "If you’re going to steal anyone’s old identity, Triple H is pretty good."

Angels, who previously competed as Nathan Angel, debuted on WWE NXT television on May 19 by defeating Romeo Moreno. Owens made the remarks while mentoring Angels and Dorian Van Dux for an upcoming match.

The comments appear lighthearted, as Angels has continued using the character on NXT TV.
