The Corruption Eradication Commission is open to summoning Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni to strengthen evidence in the corruption case involving Kuantan Singingi Regent Suhardiman Amby.
The KPK stated that the minister could be summoned if needed to deepen evidence regarding the release process of Limited Production Forest areas. KPK Acting Director of Investigation Achmad Taufik Husein made the statement on Thursday 2 July 2026.
Investigators are examining a meeting between Suhardiman and Raja Juli at the Ministry of Forestry office on 2 June 2026. At that time the district government proposed releasing 3,800 hectares of forest area for the Tanah Objek Reforma Agraria program.
This case is an expansion of a sting operation that ensnared three suspects including Suhardiman. The KPK suspects money was collected from village unit cooperatives through cuts to business proceeds to process the forest area release permit.
