Hammarby salvaged a 1–1 home draw against Anderlecht in the Europa League qualifier thanks to a late goal by substitute Frank Junior Adjei.
Hammarby started poorly in the qualifier against Anderlecht at 3Arena. Anderlecht took the lead early through Danylo Sikan who made it 1–0 via the crossbar already in the fifth minute.
Frank Junior Adjei came off the bench and decided the game in the final minutes. He scored 1–1 after three minutes on the pitch and the goal was approved after VAR review.
Coach Henrik Rydström noted that the start was too weak but the team produced a good match. Adjei said Hammarby deserved to win.
Anderlecht's Nathan Saliba was sent off with a quarter of an hour left after two yellow cards.
