Live broadcast of Carmina Burana concert at National Stadium

The National Symphony Orchestra of Chile and the University of Chile Symphony Choir will perform Carl Orff's Carmina Burana at the National Stadium on January 17 at 7:30 p.m. The event, with free tickets that sold out quickly, will be broadcast live on TVN and UChile TV. Radio Universidad de Chile will also cover the presentation.

On Saturday, January 17, the National Stadium in Ñuñoa will host a major performance of Carl Orff's symphonic-choral work Carmina Burana, regarded as one of the 20th century's most important compositions. The family-friendly show will feature the National Symphony Orchestra of Chile, conducted by guest maestro Carlos Vieu, and the University of Chile Symphony Choir, led by Juan Pablo Villarroel. Soloists include Tabita Martínez as soprano, Moisés Mendoza as countertenor, and Pablo Oyanedel as baritone.

Free tickets went on sale via the Puntoticket system and sold out in just two hours, highlighting strong public interest. To allow more people to enjoy the event, a live broadcast is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on TVN and UChile TV screens. Radio Universidad de Chile will join the coverage on 102.5 FM in Santiago and via its online stream at radio.udec.cl.

This staging aims to bring classical music to a broad audience, utilizing the stadium's large capacity. Orff's work, famous for its dramatic intensity and powerful choruses, promises an unforgettable experience for both in-person attendees and remote viewers.
