Lucky Strike world war ii film set for release

The film Lucky Strike arrives in theaters on June 26, 2026. Directed by Rod Davis Lurie, it stars Scott Eastwood as a U.S. captain surviving alone during the Battle of the Bulge.

The story follows Captain Castle, played by Scott Eastwood, after his unit is ambushed. He relies on a Motorola SCR-300 radio to navigate back to base while evading enemy forces.

Lurie, a West Point graduate and Army veteran, wrote the screenplay with Marc Frydman. The project draws from a true story Frydman heard years earlier.

Supporting cast members include Colin Hanks, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Taylor John Smith, Caroline Piette, Hazel Rogers and Kwame Patterson. Roadside Attractions is distributing the R-rated feature, which runs one hour and 42 minutes.
