Mobley’s late dunk lifts Cavaliers to sweep of 76ers

Philadelphia pulled ahead by seven after Cleveland turnovers on three straight possessions, but the Cavaliers stayed close.

Hunter’s layup with just over a minute remaining put Cleveland up by one. Mobley made one of two free throws at 22.7 seconds, but Tyrese Maxey tied it with a runner at 8.1 seconds. After a timeout, Tyson set up Mobley for the game-winning dunk. Maxey’s desperation half-court shot missed.

Joel Embiid led Philadelphia with 33 points, while Maxey added 22 points, nine assists and five steals. Dominick Barlow returned from a back contusion, contributing two points.

Coach Kenny Atkinson noted that Garland and Merrill will be reevaluated upon the team’s return to Cleveland. The Cavaliers host Oklahoma City on Monday, while the 76ers face Indiana at home the same day.
