Modi congratulates Pashinyan on Armenia election win

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan after the latter's party won the parliamentary elections.

Modi congratulated Pashinyan on the victory of the Civil Contract Party. He also thanked Armenia for its assistance in evacuating Indian nationals from Iran amid regional tensions.

The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen ties in trade, defence, technology and people-to-people exchanges. Modi expressed India's interest in working closely with Armenia to build on existing relations.
