Mukbang star Tzuyang reveals four refrigerators and $6,800 monthly food costs

Popular mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang surprised viewers by revealing on a JTBC show that she has four refrigerators at home and monthly food expenses over $6,800. She appeared alongside a fellow creator to share her eating habits and kitchen secrets. The episode airs on November 23.

In the November 23 episode of JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,' Tzuyang appeared, highlighting her channel with 12.7 million subscribers and 3.4 billion cumulative views. She joined 11-year mukbang veteran Ipjjalbeun Haetnim, marking the first joint appearance of the genre's top creators.

During a rapid Q&A, Tzuyang disclosed eating about 20 ramen packets daily and up to 40 servings of grilled intestines at most. Her revelation that "my monthly food budget alone is over 10 million won" stunned the studio. She brought two refrigerators and room-temperature ingredients, explaining, "At home, I actually have four refrigerators and even a separate pantry just for snacks." A video of her real kitchen prompted writer Kim Poong to ask, "Is this a convenience store storage room?" while chef Choi Hyun-seok remarked, "Four refrigerators is the scale of at least a one-hundred-seat restaurant."

Inspecting the fridge, the cast spotted a single-serving ready-made meal, which Tzuyang said she eats "to curb my hunger while waiting for delivery food," eliciting laughter. On label-removed ingredients, she teased, "It is an all-purpose ingredient I do not want anyone to know about, so I removed the label myself," sparking curiosity. Tzuyang launched her YouTube career in 2018, rapidly gaining fame. The episode sheds light on the intense consumption behind mukbang culture.
