New KfW funding for heating replacement starts with changed conditions

Since Tuesday, property owners can again submit applications to KfW for heating system replacements. The federal government has adjusted the funding conditions and is providing fewer resources overall.

The federal government had imposed a temporary funding stop from July 9 to July 20. Since July 21, applications for grants for heat pumps and other climate-friendly heating systems can again be submitted to KfW.

The funds come from the Climate and Transformation Fund. The government cites savings constraints as the reason for the reductions.

Handelsblatt reports that the exact impacts for applicants depend on the new guidelines. Who now receives less or more is set out in the updated funding conditions.
