Nick Offerman praises Nicole Kidman's work ethic in wrestling scene

Nick Offerman described filming a wrestling match with Nicole Kidman in episode 4 of Apple TV+ series Margo's Got Money Troubles as a highlight. He trained for three weeks and called Kidman a real-life superhero despite her battling the flu during the shoot. Offerman said he felt like a mouse opposite her in the ring.

In episode 4, Offerman's character Jinx discovers his daughter Margo's OnlyFans side hustle and reacts with judgment, urging her not to exploit her sexuality. To mend their rift, they attend a wrestling convention where Jinx reunites with his former wrestling partner Lace, played by Kidman, who now works as a lawyer in Costa Mesa. The two enter the ring for a demonstration match, with Kidman pinning Offerman after a kick to the chest using her red wrestling boot. Jinx's back briefly seizes, but he recovers fine. Offerman prepared rigorously, training with professional wrestler Chavo Guerrero Jr. and others for three weeks. He marveled at Kidman's dedication, noting she powered through the flu to complete all her scenes before seeking IV fluids at a hospital. 'Nicole Kidman is who she is for a reason. She is a true, real-life superhero,' Offerman said. He added, 'That's how you get to be a movie star,' and reflected, 'Whoever thought that I would get beat up in a wrestling match by Nicole Kidman?' Though he felt 'like a mouse' next to her, Offerman called the experience a treat. Kidman's Lace is a new character not found in the original book.
