Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo and Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo led ODM MPs in warning of escalating internal wrangles and calling for Oburu Oginga's swift intervention, following his December 2025 plea for solidarity amid divisions.
Disputes center on Sifuna's accusations that Suna East MP Junet Mohamed misappropriated 2022 election funds donated by former President Uhuru Kenyatta; Junet denies this, saying the money went to Muhoho Kenyatta.
Tensions heightened with an January 3, 2026, incident at a Kilimani restaurant, where Embakasi East MP Babu Owino claimed Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai drew a gun and assaulted him. Alai denies drawing a weapon, alleging Babu pushed him. Kilimani police, led by Commander Patricia Yegon, are probing via CCTV and witnesses.
The MPs demand an urgent investigation and party meeting to restore trust.
