Örebro Volley lost the third and decisive SM final match to Engelholm 1–3 in sets (23–25, 17–25, 25–18, 19–25) and must settle for silver. Captain Elsa Arrerstad says she might play one more season if the club invests in gold, otherwise she will retire. Haylee Nelson, 25, who lost the final with Engelholm to Örebro in 2024, is content with the silver.

The match took place at Kungsgårdshallen in Ängelholm, where Engelholm secured gold after three straight final wins. Örebro Volley's players watched opponents celebrate with E-Type's 'Campione' at full volume, gold confetti, and champagne spills.

Captain Elsa Arrerstad, who had hinted it might be her last matches, comforted her teammates after the loss. "But then it must invest in gold, otherwise I can put the shoes on the shelf", she told Nerikes Allehanda.

Haylee Nelson remained on the court watching her former Engelholm teammates celebrate. The 25-year-old player, who lost the 2024 SM final with Engelholm to Örebro, values friendships over victories. "I am human first, player second. I value people higher than anything else and I have got friends for life", she said.
