Elen Saputra, owner of a fried chicken stall in Bekasi Regency, discovered the body of employee Abdul Hamid, also known as Pak Bedul, inside a freezer on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The body was wrapped in cloth and plastic, with police reporting it mutilated without hands and feet. Police have arrested two other employees as suspects.
On Saturday morning, March 28, 2026, around 08:00 WIB, Elen Saputra visited her Chicken Alfaza fried chicken stall in Mega Regency Housing, Sukaragam Village, Serang Baru District, Bekasi Regency, West Java. She checked the site left empty by Lebaran holiday employees and spotted something suspicious through a freezer door crack. Upon opening it, Elen discovered the body of Abdul Hamid (39), a casual worker who also guarded the stall and local shophouses, wrapped in cloth and plastic.
"I came here because all employees went home for Lebaran. When I checked and peeked through the gap, I saw something suspicious. When the freezer was opened, the victim was already wrapped in cloth and plastic inside," said Elen Saputra.
Elen reported to residents and Serang Baru Police Sector. Officers from Metro Bekasi Resort Police and the Identification Team of Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya processed the crime scene on March 29. Police noted two operational motorcycles (Honda Beat and Vario) and Rp500,000 cash missing. Bekasi Regency Police Chief, Combess Pol Sumarni, stated Abdul Hamid guarded the stall, while two other employees, SMN (28) and ANC (24), were unreachable.
Head of Violence and Crime Subdirectorate Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Abdul Rahim, confirmed the rotting body lacked hands and feet. Police arrested SMN (27) and ANC (23) as suspects. The body was taken to RS Polri Kramat Jati for autopsy. Investigation into the motive continues.
