In an update to the hoax bomb threats targeting 10 Depok schools, Metro Police have named 23-year-old H as the suspect. He sent fake emails impersonating ex-girlfriend Kamila Hamdi using a random 'AI-like' method, motivated by a rejected marriage proposal and desire for attention.

Following initial reports on December 25 confirming the threats as hoaxes with no explosives found, Depok Metro Police identified suspect H, born April 7, 2002, in Semarang, and an alumnus of one targeted school. A device at his home linked him to the emails sent on December 23, 2025, to SMA Arrahman, SMA Al Mawaddah, SMA 4 Depok, SMA PGRI 1, SMA Bintara Depok, SMA Budi Bakti, SMA Cakra Buana, SMA 7 Sawangan, SMA Nururrahman, and SMAN 6 Depok.

Head of Criminal Investigation Kompol Made Oka stated H chose schools randomly, mimicking AI tools like ChatGPT, and had a history of harassing Kamila—including fake orders and bogus accounts—after dating in 2022. His proposal to her family was rejected, prompting the act for revenge and attention. Kamila was cleared after questioning, denying email access.

H faces charges under Article 45B jo. Article 29 of the ITE Law, Article 335 KUHP, and Article 336 Paragraph 2 KUHP. Police plan psychological evaluation. No casualties occurred, highlighting technology misuse risks.

Cosa dice la gente

Discussions on X primarily from news accounts report police naming suspect H (23), a student, for sending hoax bomb emails to 10 Depok schools impersonating ex-girlfriend Kamila Hamdi after a rejected marriage proposal and to gain attention. Kamila was questioned, claiming her account was hacked; schools selected randomly. Reactions are neutral factual updates with minimal user opinions.
