Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed officially inaugurated the Debre Markos King Tekle Haymanot Airport that had been out of service for 30 years.

Addis Ababa, July 5, 2018 (FMC). Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) officially inaugurated the Debre Markos King Tekle Haymanot Airport on the same day and launched its operations.

The Prime Minister stated that the spread of racism, tribalism and extremism in Ethiopia was due to the truth meter becoming very thin. He emphasized that it is necessary to jointly remove outlaws from any place to ensure the peace and development of the people.

Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh also said that the start of air transport service is expected to further boost tourism and trade in the area. He indicated that the Medemer government will continue to strengthen its mission of connecting Ethiopia through infrastructure.
