Twenty-three people and nine homes were impacted in the El Ensueño II neighborhood of Ciudad Bolívar. More precipitation is expected in the afternoon and evening.
At midday this Tuesday, the District Institute for Risk Management and Climate Change (Idiger) reported precipitation across various points in Bogotá, following several days of rains in the capital.
According to the entity, the affected localities up to that point included Usaquén, Chapinero, San Cristóbal, Usme, and Ciudad Bolívar. In particular, Idiger reported that 23 people and nine homes were affected in the El Ensueño II neighborhood, located in Ciudad Bolívar.
For the afternoon, an increase in cloudiness is forecast with moderate to heavy precipitation in Suba, Engativá, Fontibón, Kennedy, Bosa, Ciudad Bolívar, and Usme. Other localities may see lighter rains.
For the night, moderate rains are expected in Suba, Usaquén, Engativá, Fontibón, Barrios Unidos, Kennedy, Bosa, Puente Aranda, Rafael Uribe Uribe, Ciudad Bolívar, Usme, and San Cristóbal, with minor precipitation in the rest of the area.
These weather conditions highlight the vulnerability of certain Bogotá areas to rain events, as per Idiger's monitoring, which remains alert for additional emergencies.
