New York rap legends took the stage at the ESPYs on Wednesday to mark the New York Knicks' recent NBA Championship win. The performances at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater featured De La Soul, Slick Rick, Ghostface Killah and Fat Joe.
De La Soul opened with a medley that included "Stakes Is High" and "Run It Back!!" The group urged athletes in the audience to stand and join in.
Slick Rick performed an abridged version of his hit "La Di Da Di" after starting his set from the audience. Ghostface Killah followed by referencing fellow Wu-Tang Clan members Raekwon and Ol' Dirty Bastard before performing "Cherchez LaGhost."
Fat Joe closed the show with "All the Way Up." The Knicks players also received awards at the event, including Jalen Brunson for best NBA player and best championship performance, OG Anunoby for best play, and the team for best team overall.
