Roberto Cavalli shows resort 2027 collection after ownership change

Roberto Cavalli presented its resort 2027 collection featuring archival prints updated with floral and gem motifs. The show comes after Marquee Brands acquired a majority stake in the company.

The collection includes ruffled slip dresses, stretch jersey pieces, and jeans decorated with an eye print combined with roses and gems. Designer Fausto Puglisi also incorporated zebra patterns, mermaid-scale effects, and peacock feathers across shorts, blouses, and dresses. Puglisi noted that escapism matters to customers. He described the designs as expressing a party-girl attitude, highlighted by a pink crocodile dévoré velvet slip dress layered over eye-print jeans. Marquee Brands, which owns BCBG, Laura Ashley, and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, took majority control since the previous Cavalli show. The company now positions Cavalli as its flagship luxury asset, similar to recent acquisitions in the sector.
