Sadie Stanley joins Netflix drama Poser as series regular

Sadie Stanley has been cast in a leading role in Netflix's upcoming psychological thriller series Poser. The show, created by Lauren Iungerich, explores themes of toxic female friendship and betrayal. Stanley joins previously announced stars Daisy Jelley and Annie Murphy.

Netflix has added Sadie Stanley to the cast of its new drama series Poser, an 8-episode psychological thriller that delves into the complexities of toxic female friendships. Announced on January 22, 2026, the series is written and showrun by Lauren Iungerich, who executive produces alongside Jamie Dooner under her Crazy Cat Lady Entertainment banner. The project falls under Iungerich's overall deal with Netflix.

Poser centers on two estranged former best friends whose lives intertwine when one is given a chance to live the life she has long coveted. This opportunity leads to a psychological game involving revenge, betrayal, and heartbreak that ultimately alters their lives and those around them. Stanley portrays Emmy, described as a deeply empathetic and unassuming beauty who lives under the radar but yearns for more, coveting her long-lost best friend who resides down the street.

Stanley, known for her role as Kim Possible in the 2019 Disney Channel TV movie, has built a diverse resume. She had a recurring role in ABC's The Goldbergs, starred as the lead in Freeform's Cruel Summer in 2023, and appeared in Netflix's Dead to Me, Hulu's Pen15, and CBS's Criminal Minds. On film, she recently played Mia Lipani in Sony's Karate Kid: Legends alongside Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan, where her character is the daughter of Joshua Jackson's Victor Lipani. Other credits include The Sleepover (2020), Let Us In (2021), and Somewhere in Queens (2022). She is next set to appear in Pretty Babies opposite Ashley Benson, Emily Alyn Lind, and Madelaine Petsch.

No release date for Poser has been announced, but the series promises a sexy, emotional take on friendship gone wrong, starring Stanley, Murphy, and Jelley.
