The Special Assets Society reported requests to close Lili Pink and Yoi stores following legal proceedings against Fast Moda.
The Special Assets Society (SAE) received 87 requests from businessmen and shopping center operators to end lease contracts for Lili Pink and Yoi stores. This follows legal actions against Fast Moda for alleged money laundering and contraband.
The SAE also reported 23 filings seeking clarifications on the asset forfeiture process. Prosecutors documented money laundering of 730 billion pesos, illicit enrichment over 430 billion pesos and possible contraband exceeding 75 billion pesos.
The agency warned that early closures would affect around 260 workers, mostly women who are heads of household. Fast Moda operates under the administration of the Fund for Rehabilitation, Social Investment and Fight against Organized Crime (Frisco).
In May, the SAE appointed Hernán Sebastián Ulchur as the company's legal representative to assess its operations.
