The victim, Tuwi aged 50, was buried under two meters of landslide material. Currently, 25 others remain missing while hundreds of residents are evacuated.

A major landslide struck Situkung Hamlet, Pandanarum Village, Pandanarum District, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java, on Sunday, November 16, 2025, due to heavy rain in the area. Initially, 26 people were reported missing, two dead, and over 900 residents evacuated to safe places.

On the fourth day of search operations, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the joint SAR team found the body of Tuwi (50) in Sector A.2 at 13:52 WIB. The discovery was aided by Basarnas Semarang's tracking dogs and six excavators, though the process was challenging due to loose soil and light rain. "We deployed three K-9 units and operated six excavators. Alhamdulillah, today we successfully found the victim named Ibu Tuwi in Sector A.2," said Head of SAR/Basarnas Semarang Office, Budiono.

With this finding, the death toll rose to three: Luwih, Darti, and Tuwi. Meanwhile, 25 people are still being searched for, including Saminem, Kaswanto, Aminah, and others. "Three people have died, while 25 others are still being searched for," stated Head of BNPB's Data, Information, and Disaster Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, on November 20, 2025.
