Scott D'Amore describes strong ties with Tony Khan

Scott D'Amore, president of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, said he maintains a positive relationship with AEW president Tony Khan following his 2024 departure from TNA.

D'Amore made the comments during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show. He noted that Khan reached out shortly after the news of his exit became public, joining a wave of industry support.

"I have a great relationship with Tony Khan," D'Amore said. "He reached out right away like a lot of people did." He added that the outpouring of messages from fans and colleagues was touching and that he does not close the door on future opportunities.

The two executives later formed a working alliance. D'Amore appeared backstage at an AEW event last fall, and earlier this month MLP Mayhem was announced as a weekly show on the MyAEW streaming app.
